Local energy cooperatives are expected to be core entities - said George Boultadakis (European Dynamics), project manager of INTERRFACE while presenting how our project will help engage consumers and prosumers at the Data Driven Energy Services workshop. On the event - organized by European Commission's DG Energy and DG Connect - speakers were emphasizing the importance of accessibility to data and interoperability of Distributed Energy Resources throughout Europe, which are both aimed at in project INTERRFACE.

We need demos, we need to test what works and what does not to engage consumers - said Mark van Stiphout Deputy Head of Unit New energy technologies, innovation and clean coal at EC DG Energy. In INTERRFACE we dedicate two different demos for peer-to-peer trading which will look into the options for creating such market and thus enabling flexibility sources of smaller scale in Slovenia, Hungary and Bulgaria.
