Enlit Europe 2021 provided the opportunity for INTERRFACE to meet its stakeholders interested in the project physically after many months of being present only on digital channels due to the pandemic. The project was not only represented by a booth in the EU Porject Zone of the event in Milan but also participated in the hub discussions throughout the 3 days between 30 November and 2 December 2021.

This time INTERRFACE went full contactless, making its work available only digitally accessible via QR codes at the booth to minimize the risk of the spread of the corona virus. At the booth our work ignited many interesting conversations regarding the project approach, market design for flexibility and the relation between TSOs, DSOs and prosumers.

Nikos Bilidis (European Dynamics) took part in 2 of the sessions organized by the European initiative for smart energy projects, BRIDGE on Flexiblity Mechanisms and on Data Exchange & Interoperability, while project coordinator George Boultadakis represented INTERRFACE in the session of the OPEN DEI cluster on Energy Data Spaces. These events gave us not only the opportunity to explain our project concept and early results of the Interoperable pan-European Grid Services Architecture (IEGSA), but also to listen and reflect to the various different approaches taken by other projects under the umbrella of BRIDGE and OPEN DEI.
